We all went out for breaky to say goodbye to Brooke who joined us in Vienna. We just ate at the mall as its combined with the main train station and an easy 5 minute walk from our hostel.
The train ride from Vienna to Budapest was fine, the train was modern and only took just over 3 hours. We saw amazing wind turbines and lots of beautiful greenery. We have heard Budapest is one of the most stunning places to visit in Europe!
Once we got off the train we were instantly sweating - it was 34 degrees, i felt like I was in Thailand but without the beaches. We checked into our hostel called 'Central Backpack King' which was easy to walk to once we trained into the centre of the city, it's only €57 for 3 nights which is good for our budget.
Chrysta and I walked outside around our hostel and came across a park where people were doing a Hungarian dance and there was a massive screen playing the Olympics. This city is alive for a Sunday evening and we look forward to seeing what else Budapest has in store for us.
We went to 'Caffe Subito' for 2 for 1 mojitos - only €3 each, so we had quite a few... honestly they were the best mojito's I have ever had!
We have found things to be cheap here which is great for our budgets!
We are going to the 'Szechenyi' baths tomorrow as its going to be 36 degrees - they are the biggest pools in Europe! There is just no way we will be able to last walking around the city in 36 degree heat.
