We grab a Starbucks coffee and wonder around the streets. We walk down to the marina and grab a yummy fresh fish sandwich and some mussels filled with risotto, for only €5. We noticed how dirty the marina is - they don't seem to take pride in their coastline like we do back home. There were a lot of people swimming in the water which I thought was kind of gross as the fishing boats were not to far away.
We went for a bit of a shop and brought some supplies for our flight tomorrow to Bali - sleeping pills, nurofen and vitamin pills.
We enjoyed a lazy afternoon in the cafe of our hotel with a green tea and sorted out a few things online. Booking our flight home from Phuket to Auckland, arriving home on the 4th December :)
We have booked a shuttle from our hotel to the airport for tomorrow at only €25, which is probably a rip off, but at least we have the security that we will get there in time to check-in and hang about until our 3pm flight.
We have enjoyed Turkey. We really like the locals here as they are super friendly and are always willing to help you. It's been an interesting experience being in a Muslim country. The amount of looks I would get from both women and men here I felt a bit uneasy. We are such a multicultural country at home that we don't even take a second look at people... But both Ben and I are dressed in summer clothes - shorts, singlets, skirts, jandals etc we look very different to the way the Muslims are dressed - so no wonder they stare.
