Day 49 - Istanbul

We move to a new hotel called 'Grand Yavuz Hotel'. The hotel was nice and had a bit more character to the place. It comes with a restaurant with ocean views and a day spa. We wanted to mix up our stay in Istanbul so we booked another hotel through Creative Holidays. This hotel is close to the Blue Mosque and the Sea of Marmara.

We get on the Sightseeing tour bus of Istanbul. It takes 1.5hours to travel around and we see some cool sights such as; The City Walls, Golden Gate, Golden Horn Bridge, Takzim Square (main shopping area), Archaeological museum and the list goes on.... Most of these places we have never heard of before, but this is a cheap way to travel around the city, at just €20 each.

We finish the day walking around the shops and we buy our final Istanbul / Europe magnet.

We chill out and enjoy a glass of wine in the restaurant of our hotel and recap on our amazing travels in Europe and how it feels like we have been here for much longer than 49 days.

We are going to explore more of the city tomorrow and try out the fish market down by the sea.
