Day 88 - Cambodia

It was a hot and humid nights sleep where we had to put cold wet towels on us to keep us cool. The heat in Siem Reap can be unbearable at times.

Katie and James got up at 5:45 to get a tok tok at 5am to travel out to the temples to see the sunrise. They said it was amazing and that the tomb raider temple was the best!

A nice fruit and muesli breakfast at our hostel, a bit of last minute shopping at the markets and we are on our way back to Phnom Penh. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Rosies Guesthouse' it's right on the river and costs only $1 on a tok tok to get to the markets. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food was always so tasty.

The bus we caught was great - it had air-con, movies, and they gave us croissants and water. The bus company 'Giant Ibis', is the best company we have traveled with so far.

At about 7pm we arrived at 'Me Mates Place' our local accommodation in Phnom Penh. Our friendly bar / reception staff were working there so James and Ben had a boozy night drinking with the locals and other travellers staying at the hostel.

It was bliss being back in an air conditioned room. :)
