We booked a taxi at 6:30am to take us to the airport for our 10am flight with Jetstar to Singapore. We had a look around the duty free shops but the prices seemed to be the same as Auckland any way and there were no good deals on, so we didn't bother buying anything.
Our flight took 1hr and 50minutes, which I ended up sleeping most of it.
Our stopover in Singapore airport was for 6hrs. If you have to have a stopover this is the place where you would want to be. There are free movie rooms, computer access, a games room, a massive fish pond, a heap of duty free shops and good food spots. The time ended up flying by which was good.
We caught another Jetstar flight at 6:50pm and arrived back in Auckland and 10am........ All I can say is that it's GOOD TO BE HOME!
