Yay - I have been looking forward to going back to Thailand for so long! Bring on the pad Thai and fake wallets!
An early morning flight with an airport that sells expensive and crap food sucks!
We flew with Air Asia, which was a nightmare - this kid kicked the shit out of the back of my seat, after talking to his father nothing changed so we had to move. The plane was to back heavy so we had to move again near the front. And lastly when we went to buy food they wouldn't take the Vietnamese dong which was annoying.
Once we arrived in Bangkok I told the driver to go straight to Khao San Road, this is where all the backpackers stay and where the markets are. We found some accommodation off Khao San Rd for $10 each a night at 'Our Home' for a double room. The spot is nice because its just away from the noise of Khao San Rd.
We walked around the markets and enjoyed a pad Thai. I have been craving these pad Thais for sooooo long and they are just how I remember them when I was here a year ago. A pad Thai with just egg is $1 and to add chicken is $2.
I brought a singlet from one of the market stalls for $3 and we enjoyed some yummy fruit and a freshly squeezed orange juice for so cheap!
We caught a tok tok to 'Siam Paragon' a big shopping mall which had everything in it. This mall had the most amazing food court and farmers market I have ever seen. Anything and everything you feel like eating you could eat right here and it all looks fresh and yummy! We looked around the shops for a bit. I ended up buying some nice jeans from Zara and a cool Adidas sports bra - both investment pieces for me to wear when I'm back in NZ.
After shopping Ben and I came back to our hotel and got ready for the night.
We walked along Khao San Rd having beers and mojitos at a few different spots. It was nice to relax after a full on day. After we got a bit tipsy we thought we were ready for a pong pong show.
We caught a too tok to 'Patpong St' which was packed with markets and strip clubs. We went into a pong pong show at 'Suer Pussy' for $12 each which included a free beer. The show as you can imagine was funny and the girls were ....... Talented!
After the 1hr show we walked around the markets. A taxi ride home with a fees of McD's and that was us for the night.
