Day 4 - Paris to London

Another great continental breakfast helped us to gear up for the day ahead!

We checked out at 11:30am and caught 2x trains to get to the station to catch the Eurostar to London, it felt like i was in a small airport.Thankfully we had pre booked our trains online so we didn't need to wait in any queues.

The Eurostar (£44) left at 1:15pm and arrived in London at 2:30pm, it was a great way to see the country side and a more enjoyable way of transport then a plane ride.

Once we arrived in London the first thing we see is the Olympic Rings. We caught the train to our friends house (in Clapham) whom we are staying with in London, we have heard trying to find accommodation around the Olympics too expensive and most places are all booked up! The trains seem faster and are a lot nicer than the trains in Sydney. We buy a card called 'Oyster' (£5) it's just a card you put money on and use for the trains and buses, we purchase a weekly pass (£29) which we think will save us time and money as we will be doing a lot of hoping on and off the trains.

I must say there is kind of a sense of reliefs being back in an English speaking city again, it just makes things a little bit easier.

Chrysta is exited as she could potentially stay in London if she enjoys it enough as she got a 2 year work Visa before she left NZ.

We hang out with our friends Katie and James - Ben is ecstatic to see his friends after not being with them for 10 or so months! We drink, catch-up and are all excited for the big night ahead!

We then head to a drum and bass gig at a Superclub called 'Fabric'. The club is nothing like I have been to in NZ or Aus - it is just MASSIVE - heaps of different rooms all with great dancey beats I am thinking this is definitely a but of me!

Day 5 is going to be a nothing day!
